A Jedi of the Jedi Order served as a librarian in the Jedi Archives on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Coruscant during the High Republic Era.[1] Around 234 BBY,[3] the scientist Avon Starros visited the archives and found that its public section on kyber crystal theory was incomplete and "more than a little lackluster." The librarian was tasked with helping Avon, and the girl told the librarian her opinions on the public section, leaving her mother—then Galactic Republic Senator Ghirra Starros—embarrassed and annoyed with her daughter. Avon made suggestions to the librarian about material that would be beneficial, and the librarian quietly agreed to order them.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] when Avon next visited the Jedi Archives, she mentally recalled her last visit and her interactions with the Jedi librarian.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Jedi librarian was mentioned in the 2024 young-adult novel The High Republic: Defy the Storm, written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4] Within the novel, the librarian was mentioned within a chapter written by Ireland.[5]

As The High Republic: A Test of Courage—which Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of to 232 BBY—establishes that Starros was twelve years old during its events, she must have visited the Jedi Archives around 234 BBY.
