- ―The Irizi speaker during a session of the Syndicure
A Chiss speaker represented the Chiss Ascendancy's Irizi family in the Chiss Syndicure, the ruling body of the Ascendancy.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] following the capture of Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov, core name "Thalias," and the sky-walker navigator Che'ri at the hands of the Nikardun General Yiv, the speaker was present at an emergency meeting of the Syndicure to discuss who was responsible for allowing the two women to be captured and what the plan was to retrieve them. During the discussion, the speaker stated that they would come back to the topic of who was responsible and that they would be held accountable before the conversation moved to the Ascendancy's plan of attack against Yiv.[1]
Behind the scenes
The speaker appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
