A human male served as a major in the Imperial Security Bureau in the early days of the Galactic Empire, and oversaw an investigation into a bombing that killed several Coruscant underworld police officers. After the symbol of the Jedi Order was discovered on a piece of debris from the bomb site, Darth Vader was contacted, and although the major thought of Vader's presence as a courtesy, Vader quickly pulled rank on the major and ordered him to send his men to all areas near the Jedi Temple to search for evidence and signs of a Jedi.[1]
