A female pilot served the Shadow Collective criminal organization, led by the rogue Sith Lord Maul, near the end of the Clone Wars. During the Siege of Mandalore, the pilot flew a Gauntlet fighter to rescue Maul, who was dueling the former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano in the city of Sundari. Maul was unable to reach the starfighter, however, as he was defeated by Tano and captured by the Galactic Republic. The pilot departed immediately afterwards.[1]

Behind the scenes

The pilot first appeared, albeit only through voice, in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "The Phantom Apprentice,"[1] which aired on April 24, 2020.[2] The pilot, credited as "Gauntlet Pilot," was voiced by Vanessa Marshall, who also portrayed Rook Kast in the episode.[1]
