- "The Force is weak with you."
- ―The individual, to Kylo Ren
A force-sensitive individual was employed as a bodyguard by Gardulla Besadii the Elder during the time of the First Order-Resistance War. When Kylo Ren visited Tatooine and confronted the Hutt crime lord, the individual overpowered and disarmed Ren through the Force, allowing Gardulla's men to capture him. Ren eventually escaped and had Gardulla's fortress destroyed via orbital bombardment.
Biography
- «Did you really think, after what happened to Jabba, I would not take my own precautions against those who use the Force?»
- ―Gardulla to Kylo Ren, after the individual had subdued the latter
The bodyguard disarmed Kylo Ren.
The individual came into the employ of the Hutt crime lord Gardulla Besadii the Elder sometime after the death of Jabba the Hutt[2] in 4 ABY.[3] Jabba had been killed in a battle against the Force-sensitive twins Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker;[4] anticipating that she could meet a similar fate, Gardulla sought to gather defenses against Force-users, eventually selecting the individual to serve as a bodyguard in her court.[2]
In 34 ABY,[5] Kylo Ren traveled to Gardulla's fortress on Tatooine. He intended to kill her after learning that she had enslaved his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, when he was a child. Before he could strike a fatal blow, however, the bodyguard used the Force to disarm Ren of his lightsaber and sent him flying backward. The individual held onto Ren's weapon as Gardulla ordered her men to imprison the intruder in her dungeon.[2]
Ren was locked away in a desert cell separate from the fortress. Via holoprojection, the bodyguard watched from Gardulla's throne room as the Hutt used a remote device to electrocute her captive. As Gardulla continued to torment her attacker, her bodyguard advised her that, although Ren deserved to be punished, he would be more useful to her as a hostage. Gardulla took heed of this advice and halted the torture. Ren later escaped his confinement and retrieved his lightsaber from the fortress. On his order, General Armitage Hux of the First Order bombarded the structure from orbit, decimating it.[6]
Personality and traits
- «Many weapons and much power will come to you when you control this one. None if he dies. If he dies, you probably do too.»
- ―The individual advises Gardulla on the treatment of Kylo Ren
Gardulla's bodyguard considered Kylo Ren's aptitude in the Force to be rather weak.[2] In addition to protecting her, the individual offered the Hutt counsel, using a sense of wisdom to advise her on certain matters. The individual noted Ren's value as a bargaining tool for Gardulla, an observation that convinced the Hutt to stay her hand before executing him.[6]
The diminutive individual possessed two thick limbs that protruded from a plump, spherical torso covered in bulbous white mounds. The individual's face displayed round glassy eyes and no visible mouth.[2]
Powers and abilities
As a Force-sensitive, the individual was adept at telekinesis, using it to easily subdue the Master of the Knights of Ren. The individual spoke Basic[2] as well as Huttese.[6]
