A stormtrooper served as a commander in the Stormtrooper Corps of the First Order. The stormtrooper commander led an operation on the planet Kashyyyk,[2] kidnapping a number of its native Wookiees to be used as slaves.[4] A small Resistance force, including the Wookiee Chewbacca, breached the First Order's blockade of Kashyyyk, and Chewbacca entered the Black Forest in search of the Wookiee prisoners. There, he encountered the commander and two subordinates, en route to the First Order's base camp in response to the Resistance incursion. In the ensuing blaster fight, stray fire struck a 125-Z treadspeeder bike, causing an explosion which threw all parties back. As the Wookiee made his escape, the commander ordered his force into Omicron Formation, launching a hunt for their opponent.[2] When Chewbacca entered the First Order camp, the commander confronted him. However, Chewbacca managed to free the Wookiee prisoners, who attacked the commander.[3]

The stormtrooper commander appeared in "Ghosts of Kashyyyk, Part 1," published as part of the 27th issue of the 2017 comic series Star Wars Adventures[2] on October 30, 2019.[5]
