This individual was a human officer who served the First Order during its conflict with the Resistance. The officer was stationed in the primary fire control room of the Command Center of Starkiller Base and helped oversee the charging of the superweapon. As the base was draining the power of a nearby star, the officer informed General Hux that the weapon would be fully charged in thirty seconds, prompting Hux to order the team to prepare to fire the weapon at the Ileenium system, where the Resistance base was located. However, Starkiller base was destroyed by Resistance pilots before the plans could be set into motion.[1]

Behind the scenes

This character was portrayed by uncredited[1] British supporting actor Mark Beautement in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.[2] The character wears the teal uniform[1] of a First Order Colonel, like Erich S. Datoo,[3] which suggests a possible on set change, since the online script (available at the Internet Movie Script Database) refers to this character as a "Starkiller technician." That version of the script also contains a slightly different line: "Weapon at full capacity in thirty seconds"[4] rather than "Weapon fully charged in thirty seconds" in the final cut.[1]
