A tribe of Ewoks inhabited a village located near the site of what would eventually host the second Death Star's shield generator bunker. One night, the tribesman Romba returned from hunting only to find the Galactic Empire had burned down his village and killed his whole tribe. Romba ended up joining the Bright Tree tribe, led by Chief Chirpa. Just before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Romba recounted his tale to the Bright Tree tribe, leading to them deciding to assist the Endor strike team.[1]
