A large fire-breathing[2] dragon[1] resided deep within the core of the planet Eriadu, according to claims made by the first members of the Tarkin family who landed there. The early Tarkins claimed the dragon would occasionally cause fire to spout from the ground, leading them to build Bri-Phrang City atop it as a tribute in order to pacify the creature.[2] During the High Republic Era, local elders claimed that the Arkorayal Cabaret Cantina sat atop the sleeping dragon's lair.[1] As a result of the claims, the underground areas within both Bri-Phrang and the nearby Eriadu City were restricted. Tarkin family member Emelsine Tarkin learned about the supposed creature in school, though did not think their ancestors made any sense. Emelsine explained the claims about the dragon to Jedi Knight Qort,[2] the freedom fighter[3] Alys Ongwa, and the droid 5A-G3 while explaining the restrictions to the underground areas of the cities, and Ongwa noted that the early Tarkins' plan seemed flawed.[2]
