"Bounties on Jedi are sky high. Big credits."
―A bounty hunter[1]

During the Reign of the Empire, a Duros bounty hunter was present in a bar on the planet Lothal shortly before the mission to rescue the Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus.

Biography

A Duros became a bounty hunter by the Reign of the Empire. In 5 BBY or 4 BBY,[2] he was present in a bar on Lothal, where he wanted to collect a bounty on a Jedi, who he believed was hiding on the planet.[1]

As he drank a beverage, the Duros was approached by Fissol and Gowski—who also worked as bounty hunters—and asked whether he had any information on the Jedi's whereabouts. Originally unwilling to share his knowledge, the Duros eventually relented and told what he knew. After Fisson and Gowski went their own way and left the Duros in pain, he wound his head up in a bandage, remaining in the establishment.[1]

Some time later, Fissol and Gowski returned to the bar. Unbeknownst to the Duros, they had indeed encountered the wanted Jedi, or Kanan Jarrus and[1] his[3] Padawan Ezra Bridger. Instead of capturing them, however, the two had had their memories wiped. In addition, they had been mind-tricked to find their informant and take revenge for revealing the Jedi's whereabout, a revenge that Gowski and Fissol had come to take on the Duros.[1]

Personality and trait

The individual was cowardly Duros with light-blue skin and red eyes. In addition to a blue shirt with yellow markings, he sported a white bandage on his head following a run-in he had with Fissol and Gowski.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Duros bounty hunter debuted in "Eyes on the Prize", a comic strip by Jeremy Barlow and Bob Molesworth that issued in Star Wars Rebels Magazine 6.[1]

In "Eyes on the Prize", Ezra has already started his Jedi training but is yet to construct his lightsaber. Therefore, "Eyes on the Prize" must be set in either 5 BBY or 4 BBY.
