A Storm-hair was a Chosen, one of Storm-hair warlord Nuso Esva's warriors who emerged from an unidentified planet with him. The Chosen, who was one of Esva's most loyal servants, had black hair and multifaceted bright yellow eyes.[2] In 8 ABY,[1] Esva's warrior stayed in front of the Dwelling of Guests building within the planet Quethold's Red City.[2]

When the Quesoth species' ruler and Esva's ally, the Queen of the Red, approached the dwelling's entrance, the Storm-hair pledged their life to her as mandated by Quesoth custom, which Trevik considered fortunate. The warrior and the Queen's entourage then entered the building, where the Storm-hair warlord spoke with the monarch. The following day, Esva and the Chosen were killed during a battle between Storm-hair and Quesoth forces and the Empire of the Hand.[2]

The Storm-hair appeared in the novella Crisis of Faith, written by Timothy Zahn and published in 2011 as part of the 20th Anniversary Edition of the 1991 novel Heir to the Empire.[2]
