A temple was located in the Bakura system,[1] which was part of Wild Space's Bakura sector[2] and contained eight planets, including the lush terrestrial world Bakura,[3] the homeworld of the humanoid, sentient Kurtzen species.[4] By the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the temple had been reduced to ancient ruins. The stone structure included a staircase, columns, and other examples of masonry.[1] In 2 ABY,[5] the Empire hired the bounty hunters 4-LOM and Zuckuss[1]—a droid and a Force-sensitive Gand respectively[6]—to investigate the temple in order to find any lost relics or weapons that could be of use against the Alliance.[1]
Behind the scenes
The temple was introduced on two cards of 2015 Topps Star Wars Illustrated: The Empire Strikes Back, a Topps trading card set[1] released on April 29, 2015.[7] The cards were illustrated by Grant Gould.[1]
