A B1-series battle droid served as a lieutenant at Grievous's fortress on Vassek 3 in 21 BBY with a group of other battle droids. When Kit Fisto, Nahdar Vebb and their task force entered the fortress while searching for Nute Gunray, they discovered what seemed to be Gunray, guarded by the group of battle droids. While conversing with the holographic form of the viceroy, the lieutenant noticed the task force and engaged the troops with his squad. During the ensuing skirmish, Nahdar Vebb cut the lieutenant in half, destroying him, and performed a force push to "incapacitate" the still functioning lower half of the droid.[1]
