A B1-Series battle droid was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems as Asajj Ventress' bodyguard in her journey to Coruscant. At some point during 22 BBY, Asajj Ventress was sent to Coruscant while the political group Bureaucratosis was giving a speech. The droid was provided by the Separatists to accompany her.

On Coruscant, Jedi Grand Master Yoda sensed danger, and found Ventress, and entered a lightsaber duel with her. Meanwhile, a class of Jedi escaped from the Senate Building. Yoda and Clone Commander Cody imprisoned Ventress, but the droid escaped with secret battle plans in a book titled Secret Battle Plans. Later, Commander Cody, Grand Master Yoda and a young Han Solo (posing as "Ian") found and destroyed the droid on Hoth, in the inside of a Tauntaun, retrieving the plans.

Behind the scenes

This droid is a principal villain in LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace, since Asajj Ventress gives him the Secret Battle Plans of the Republic and her ship.

The droid is represented by a minifigure released by LEGO in 2003.
