An Aurebesh-like script was used on some holographic signs on Nar Shaddaa.

Description

The script was similar in appearance to the common Aurebesh writing system, but was more compact, with each letter roughly filling a tall rectangle. Parts of many of the letters were segmented like a stencil.[1]

Examples of use

In 3 BBY,[2] on the planet Nar Shaddaa, signs advertising "DRINKS" were written in this script.[1] Another sign read, at least in part, "JEDI".[1]

This script first appeared in the final pages of War of the Bounty Hunters – Jabba the Hutt 1. The script appears identical to a fan-made Aurebesh font called Aurebesh Racer AF,[1] which can be downloaded for free online.[3]

The Mandalorian concept art

The same font is used in concept art for Star Wars: The Mandalorian: One illustration by Aaron McBride,[4] shown during the end credits of "Chapter 19: The Convert," shows Doctor Pershing working on Coruscant, with four cubicles carrying the text "DR PERSH".[5] An illustration shown during the end credits of "Chapter 22: Guns for Hire" shows a group of super battle droids outside the domed city on Plazir-15, where "LOREM" is painted on a building, while "URE[image ends]" is printed on a container.[6] "Lorem" appears to be a reference to the traditional placeholder text known as Lorem ipsum, which is often used when demonstrating how a certain formatting or typeface will appear on a page.[7]
