"Please, I've been working day and night, being on the line is back–breaking. I'm never going to be able to work off all my debt. I just want to go home."
―Aqualish mechanic to Kay Vess — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

An Ualaq Aqualish mechanic was forced to work at the Ashiga weapons factory to repay their debt with the Ashiga Clan. They had gray skin, black eyes and gray hair.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] they were caught by a member of the Ashiga near the Kijimi Spaceport attempting to sneak off the planet. During which they wore a yellow environment suit and used an electronic translator to translate their spoke Aqualish into Galactic Basic.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

Kay Vess approached the mechanic and Ashiga guard after overhearing the disagreement. The Aqualish plead for Vess's help, describing the back–breaking conditions of their work. Vess was able to intervene and get the Aqualish their freedom.[1]

Behind the scenes

The mechanic appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The player has the options of paying the mechanic's fifty credit debt, using their positive reputation with the Ashiga Clan or simply leaving. The interaction is entirely optional and not part of any game quest[1]
