A Aqualish of the Quara race served the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, he defected from the Confederacy later and joined the Galactic Republic.^[1] In 20 BBY,^[2] during the Clone Wars, the Aqualish served on the planet Drongar and was wounded during the battle raging on the world. They were brought to the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7 where they were operated on by the Duros surgeon Leemoth.^[1]

The Aqualish appeared in MedStar II: Jedi Healer, the second novel of the MedStar Duology. Jedi Healer was written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry and published in 2004.^[1]
