U-One was a legendary planet, populated solely by droids.
It could not be found on any Hyperspace map, and was entirely self-sufficient, with no need for contact with the larger galaxy. Any being who came upon the planet, or attempted to contact those on the surface, was forbidden to land.
Legends differed over the geography of the planet; some said that it was a pleasant place, with plains, gentle hills, and whispering brooks, while others claimed it was an inhospitable rock, wracked with earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
Behind the scenes
Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated that U-One was excluded from The Essential Atlas Online Companion because it was an imaginary location.[1]
