Typhloractyls were a species of reptavian creatures related to the Varactyls. They were kept as pets during the time of the Third Galactic War[2] and could be found on the planets Coruscant and Dromund Kaas.[1]
Typhloractyls lacked visual organs and instead maneuvered using highly developed olfactory glands. They were highly averse to certain smells and were known to prefer cleaner environments. Traveling alongside Typhloractyls while carrying food was not recommended because of their sensitivity to scent.[2]
Behind the scenes
Typhloractyls first appeared in Galactic Season 8 "Rising Powers" in the January 2025 Game Update 7.6.1 of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith,[1] released in 2022 as the eighth digital expansion to the[3] 2011 massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[4]
