The Txs-431 flight control console was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems. Used throughout the Galactic Empire onboard Star Destroyers and both Death Stars, it assisted hangar bay personnel in launching and recovering TIE starfighters.[1]
The console had several specialized sensors feeding information into it, including electro photo receptors, dedicated energy receptors, and full-spectrum transceivers. The sensor data allowed the Txs-431 to identify incoming fighters and scan for supplemental information about the vessel such as any damage sustained, whether or not the shields or weapons were charged, and the number of lifeforms on board.[1]
