The Twenty-nine Atoan gods were deities worshipped by the Atoans[1], a Near-Human species from the Atoan system in the Ghost Nebula[2]. The Atoan leader by 19 BBY, High Priestess Lady Saro, prayed to the Atoan gods for guidance and help, and demonstrated supernatural powers connected to her faith: she could read the minds of the people around her, and project illusions.[3] Through a cannibalistic ritual she managed to learn Basic in a week: the ritual consisted in eating the tongue of a stormtrooper, who did not survive.[1]
