- "Bak! It's a … Blast him, moron! The frammin' Crotok's got a …"
- ―Druug of Profit, immediately after the destruction of Trust Me
Trust Me was a starship that formed a part of a pirate gang that operated out of Darknon Station. At one point by the time of the Galactic Civil War, it and two other vessels of the gang laid an ambush on the Helix-class light interceptor Kizbon's Box; however, the latter instead swiftly destroyed all of the pirate ships.
Description
Trust Me was an armed pirate starship that had the capability to emit a quick binary pulse for communication purposes.[1]
History
- "Harvest time! Remember, our mark's got a stripped-down discontinued bucket with external cargo pods. Feel free to blaze away at the cockpit section, but leave the aft free for bounty."
- ―Larken, to the crews of Trust Me and Profit
Trust Me and its fellow pirate starships laid an ambush on the Helix-class light interceptor Kizbon's Box (a Helix-class vessel pictured).
The crew of Trust Me were part of[1] a pirate gang based on Darknon Station,[2] a space station[1] located in the Inner Rim.[3] At one point by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance,[2] the pirates laid an ambush on the pilot of the Helix-class light interceptor Kizbon's Box while it was traveling to Darknon Station. Along with two other starships, the Pillage—captained by[1] the leader of the gang,[2] Larken—and Profit, Trust Me lay in wait while enveloped by a magnetic storm that shielded them from detection by shipboard sensors, with the Pillage situated twenty thousand kilometers behind the other vessels in order to cut off any potential escape by the Kizbon's Box.[1]
After their target entered realspace in the vicinity of Darknon Station, Trust Me, according to a pre-arranged battle plan, used a rapid binary pulse to signal to the other pirate ships the arrival of the optimal time to launch their ambush. At that point, Larken gave his fellow crews the command to commence their attack and then watched the other two ships ignite their thrusters through the Pillage's viewport. When Trust Me and Profit subsequently closed to weapons range, the Kizbon's Box, the armament of which exceeded the pirates' expectations, suddently launched proton torpedoes toward Trust Me, instantly destroying the vessel. The destruction of Trust Me threw the rest of the pirate gang in panic, and they were also soon obliterated by the Kizbon's Box.[1]
