- "The woman you're bringing it to, her name is Tropos. You deliver this safely and on time, you get another forty thousand credits. Anything happens? Let's just say Tropos has ways of making people disappear. But not until she makes every person you ever loved disappear first."
- ―Faron warns Willrow Hood about Tropos
Tropos was a woman who lived during the Galactic Civil War, garnering a reputation for making those who failed her disappear, along with the victim's loved ones.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] the Rodian smuggler Faron, while at[1] the tibanna gas mining colony[3] Cloud City, hired the mining operations worker Willrow Hood to deliver cargo contained inside a camtono to Tropos on[1] the planet[3] Batuu. The smuggler additionally warned Hood of the consequences of failing Tropos, citing the woman's reputation for making people disappear.[1]
A week after, Faron, having realized the true value of the camtono's contents, attempted to take it back. The contents of the camtono were broken in the process, and Hood realized that he had failed Tropos. When he later boarded a gunship with his colleague Bexley, the worker asked to be taken anywhere but Batuu, wishing to be far away from Tropos.[1]
