Biography
Reporting for duty
- "Word has come in from the Jedi Council that enemy forces have discovered the Republic's stockpile of rare Jedi artifacts. If these fell into the hands of the Separatists, it could swing the war in their favor. Your mission is to give up your current post and make your way to the Republic's stronghold and defend the Jedi artifacts."
- ―Obi-Wan Kenobi briefing Trooper
Trooper faces down battle droids on the way to the extraction point.
The soldier who would be known as Trooper was a Human[2] male[1] clone[2] of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. Trooper was created on the planet Kamino by the Kaminoans to serve as a clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic and fight in the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1]
At some point during the war, Trooper received a message from Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi regarding rare Jedi artifacts. The Jedi Council discovered the Separatist's knowledge of the Republic's stockpile of Jedi artifacts. Due to the risk of the war swaying in the Separatist's favor if they acquired the artifacts, Trooper gave up their current post and traveled to the stronghold to defend the artifacts.[2]
Arriving at the outskirts of a command center, Trooper immediately began fighting off the B1-Series and B2-Series battle droids as the clone made their way to the command center. At the command center, Captain Rex informed Trooper that the Droid Army discovered a weakness in the center's shielding and infiltrated part of the base. While they had it under control, Rex warned Trooper that they may encounter some battle droids on the way to the extraction point. As Trooper traversed the corridors of the base, they encountered the battle droids Rex warned them about.[2]
Extraction
- "Nice work Trooper. You made it to the extraction point in record time. However, your transport was lost en route to the Command Center. We're going to need you to hold your position until we can get you out of there."
- ―Obi-Wan Kenobi
Aboard a BARC speeder, Trooper takes on a Hailfire droid.
At the extraction point, Trooper was notified by Obi-Wan Kenobi that the transport was lost en route to the command center and that they would have to hold the position until the LAAT gunship. Trooper held out against the waves of battle droids, which included dwarf spider droids, as they waited for the gunship to arrive. After defeating the droid forces, the gunship arrived and picked up Trooper. Trooper manned the gunship's port turret as they made their way to the stronghold; destroying multiple STAPs and vulture droids.[2]
The Republic's stronghold, now a battlefield, became too dangerous for the gunship to attempt a landing. The gunship landed in an area away from the battle and dropped off Trooper with a BARC speeder. Trooper embarked on the speeder and made their way to rendezvous with Captain Rex. On the way to the rendezvous, Trooper encountered and fought off battle droids aboard STAPs, vulture droids, and a hailfire droid. Upon meeting up with Rex and the platoon he amassed, the group of clones boarded a transport bound for the Republic stronghold.[2]
Defending the stronghold
- "All clear General."
- ―Trooper
On the way to the defense outpost, Trooper battles an AAT.
Aboard the transport, Trooper began laying down fire on the battle droids that were attacking the stronghold. The platoon fended off the enemy forces enough to successfully land at the stronghold; now taken over by the droid army. Trooper met up with Obi-Wan Kenobi who had just sent a demolition crew to blast open a door. Once open, Trooper and Kenobi entered the stronghold and made their way to the core of the base, fighting off droids in the process. At the core, they found the Jedi artifacts safe, however the base was not yet secure. Captain Rex sent Trooper to the stronghold's sniper position to defend against the threats outside while Rex and his troops secured the inside.[2]
Shortly after securing the base, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker arrived at the base. Trooper was tasked with escorting Skywalker to the main battlefield by taking the gunner position on the escort ship. After arriving at the frontlines, Rex regrouped the Republic forces and prepared for an all out assault on the droid army. Rex gave Trooper one final mission, to return to the defense outpost and eliminate the Separatists' Armored Assault Tank on the way there. With those final orders, Trooper boarded a BARC speeder and headed to the outpost; encountering and destroying the AAT in the process and successfully completing the mission.[2]
Personality and traits
As a clone of Jango Fett, Trooper shared Fett's tan skin and height of 1.83 meters.[1]
Skills and abilities
- "Heads up Trooper, your gunship has arrived, and is ready to take you to the stronghold. With the generators fully operational now, we can make use of your heavy weapons training on the way to the Stronghold. Get on board and man the port turret."
- ―Rex
Trooper was proficient at using different types of blasters. Trooper also had heavy weapons training, which made them a capable gunner for ships.[2]
Equipment
Trooper in white, unmarked Phase I armor.
During battle, Trooper utilized a DC-15S blaster carbine and DC-17 hand blaster, as well as thermal detonators. Trooper wore white Phase I clone trooper armor.[2]
Trooper's armor would later be adorned with blue markings, and they would wear a kama.[2]
Behind the scenes
Trooper appeared in the Clone Trooper Blaster Game created by Tiger Electronics and developed by Santa Cruz Games. The game was released in 2008. Each mission in the game has a medal the player can earn by completing a specific challenge. This article assumes the player has earned all ten mission medals, which results in Trooper receiving blue markings on their armor and a kama.[2]
