Trident group one was a Separatist squadron of five droid tri-fighters that participated in the Battle of Sullust, a clash between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic,[1] in 20 BBY[3] as part of the Clone Wars. The group, along with Trident group two[1] as part of trident group,[2] aided the Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress during the battle. Ventress sent the droid fighters of Trident group one to target the starboard engines of the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, and shortly after, Separatist forces were able to destroy the Republic cruiser. However, despite the loss, Republic forces were victorious in the battle.[1]

Behind the scenes

Trident group one appeared in "Nightsisters,"[1] the twelfth episode in the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The episode aired on January 7, 2011.[4]
