A treaded unipod was a type of droid locomotor[1] that facilitated movement through the utilization of a single tread.[2] The R1-series, a model of astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton that reused the frame of the Mark II reactor drone, was equipped with a treaded unipod leg.[1] However, the unipod was prone to breakdowns which often stranded the R1 unit in place.[3]
