- "On heavily populated worlds in those sectors, such as Uviuy Exen in Shwuy and Trammen in Harron, every single line squad has been completely armed with light repeating blasters."
- ―A compilation of Galactic Empire documents by Rebel Alliance Major Arhul Hextrophon
Trammen was a heavily populated Expansion Region world located in the Harron sector. Situated on the Ootmian Pabol hyperspace route, around the time of the beginning of the Alsakan Conflicts, it was a part of the Galactic Republic as well as the Exploitation Region that was controlled by the trading conglomerates known as the Grand Companies. During the Galactic Civil War, Trammen served as a Galactic Empire staging area.
Description
Trammen was a terrestrial world[4] located in the Trammen system, a part of the Harron sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Expansion Region.[1] It was situated on the hyperspace route known as the Ootmian Pabol, which linked it to the Chanosant system[2] and the Belasco system of the Belasco sector.[5]
History
Trammen was a part of the Galactic Republic by 17,000 BBY. Around that time, which saw the beginning of a series of conflicts between the planet Alsakan, the Republic's capital world Coruscant, and their respective allies, Trammen was a part of the Exploitation Region, a territory that was actively controlled by the Grand Companies—Coruscant-affiliated trading conglomerates based along the Core Worlds hyperlane known as the Spin. In addition, the segment of the Ootmian Pabol on which Trammen was situated was under the control of Coruscant.[3]
During the Galactic Civil War, all Imperial Army squads on Trammen were armed with light repeating blasters.
During the Galactic Civil War, Trammen was a heavily populated world[4] and a staging area for the Galactic Empire.[6] By the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, every line squad of the Imperial Army on Trammen had been completely armed with light repeating blasters. That fact was eventually noted by Rebel Alliance historian Major Arhul Hextrophon in a compilation of Imperial documents for Alliance Supreme Commander Mon Mothma and other Rebel officers.[4]
Behind the scenes
Trammen was first mentioned in Greg Gorden's 1989 Imperial Sourcebook that was published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently placed the Trammen system, and therefore Trammen itself, in grid square O-11.[2]
