Captain Torsal was the commanding officer of the Galactic Empire's Star Destroyer Thrantha.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] the Thrantha intercepted a yacht owned by Cellia Moten after it received damage to its engines. Unable to repair the damage, the yacht's captain sent an emergency signal for assistance. As soon as it was sent, the Thrantha exited hyperspace and Captain Torsal contacted Moten, revealing that Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine had dispatched them and his emissary, Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader, while ignoring their pleas for repairs.[1]
