"Too Many Cooks" is a comic story featured in the fourth issue of Star Wars Comic magazine, released on April 3, 2014. The story includes the characters Jar Jar Binks, Gregar Typho, and Palpatine.

Plot summary

Shortly after the creation of the Separatist Alliance, Kelsara Llenkch and a group of mercenaries arrive at the Grand Hall on Coruscant, having been hired by an unknown party to assassinate Chancellor Palpatine during a banquet event to prepare for an upcoming war.

Captain Typho is in charge of security, his first time doing so for such a large-scale event, and assigns his Security Advisor, Jar Jar Binks, the task of checking in on the catering after the latter was mishandling a security remote.

Llenkch's mercenaries then subdue a group of caterers and steal their uniforms. Jar Jar arrives on the scene shortly after and makes a mess in the kitchen. Fearing reprisal, he hides in a cabinet and overhears mercenaries Maash and Vela talking about their plot. Jar Jar heads back to warn Typho and accidentally tackles him out of the way of a mercenary's sniper shot, saving his life. With Typho unconscious, Jar Jar again mishandles Sentinel Droids remote controller and knocks the mercenaries out entirely by accident with the droids.

After the incident, Chancellor Palpatine thanks Jar Jar personally, revealing that he himself had recommended Jar Jar as a Security Advisor to Typho. As a reward for his bravery, Palpatine then offers Jar Jar the position of Junior Representative for Naboo in the Senate.
