Tony Baxter (born February 1, 1947)[1] was a Disney Imagineer who served as the director of the original Star Tours ride at Disneyland. Among his contributions to the project was the suggestion that the pilot created for the ride be a nervous beginner rather than a grizzled veteran, thus allowing the ride's excitement to come from the pilot's errors and drawing audience sympathies.[2]
