- "I'll help you with that Tolfranian brief that's giving you so much trouble."
"I could use the help. But I could get in trouble with Senate security if I give you the code card. It could go on my record. On the other hand, this brief is really important to my boss…" - ―Dooku and Eero Iridian
The Tolfranian brief was a legal document[1] that shared its name with the Tolfrania system of the Inner Rim.[2] In 89 BBY,[3] the alien Galactic Republic Senatorial aide Eero Iridian was working on composing the brief, a task that he found highly challenging yet also very important to his employer.[1]
That year,[3] the Human[4] Padawan Dooku of the Jedi Order, wishing to obtain help for his team in a Jedi student training exercise, visited his friend Iridian at the Senate Building on[1] the Republic's capital, the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.[2] When Dooku asked for Iridian's access code card for the Senate's C level transport hallway, the aide hesitated, leading the young Jedi to speculate that offering a favor in return would help motivate Iridian to comply with his request. Dooku then offered to help the alien with the work on the Tolfranian brief, and ultimately the offer made the conflicted and nervous Iridian agree to give the Jedi his access card.[1]
