- "You should keep an eye out for the market's most surprising resident: Tiny the dianoga. Tiny took up residence long ago inside the plumbing of the market courtyard water dispenser. I've witnessed more than one traveler gasp in surprise when they come eye to eye with Tiny."
- ―Eloc Throno, Traveler's Guide to Batuu
Tiny was a dianoga that lived inside the plumbing of a water dispenser in the market of Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu.[1] The dispenser was located in the market's courtyard across from The Wooden Wookiee stall near the Black Spire Outpost Obelisk, and Tiny could be seen occasionally peeking above the water in a tank directly above the dispenser. The creature could also be heard moving through the plumbing in the nearby public refreshers. Tiny's eye was yellow-green, black, and red, and the dianoga had brown skin.[2]
In 34 ABY,[3] historian Eloc Throno mentioned Tiny in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu.[1] Bina, who ran the Creature Stall in Black Spire Outpost, included a drawing of Tiny in[4] her[1] guidebook, Bina's Guide to the Creatures of Batuu.[4]
Behind the scenes
- "There will be things in there there will be very familiar, things in there that they've always wanted to see, but yet on top of that we're also designing and creating new experiences so that it will really enhance what the Star Wars universe is."
- ―Doug Chiang

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge — The Market
- ↑ Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu establishes that at the time of the book's setting the Resistance was based on Batuu. Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
