A timer mine was an explosive mine that was originally designed to be deployed by mining droids for use in ore and spice mining. Activated by a timer, the mines were altered for military use and was used by both the Galactic Empire[1] and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[2] Specific models of timer mines included the 3HX3 timer mine manufactured by Conner Ship Systems.[3] LIN demolitionmechs were designed to plant timer mines, taking them from a spinning internal rack and carefully laid them on the ground.[4]
