Shasa Tiel was an Ishi Tib female accountant from the planet Tibrin who worked for the SoroSuub Corporation, before later being blackmailed into working for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
Biography
The Ishi Tib accountant Shasa Tiel was a native of the[1] Mid Rim[2] planet[3] Tibrin.[1] Tiel did accounting work for the SoroSuub Corporation on the planet Sullust,[4] before leaving the company. She was blackmailed into working for the[5] Hutt crime lord[6] Jabba Desilijic Tiure,[5] serving under the[1] Nimbanel accountant[7] Mosep Binneed[1] as his[7] assistant.[5] Tiel also operated as a financial advisor to Jabba,[1] though she hated her time working for the Hutt.[4]
Tiel was present in Jabba's Palace, asleep on Jabba's dais, when Leia Organa disguised as Boushh, attempted to free Han Solo from carbonite. She later witnessed Luke Skywalker's encounter with the rancor and was aboard the Khetanna when the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon broke out.[8] Tiel rejoiced that Jabba never returned from the expedition, which ended with the Hutt's death and the Khetanna's destruction.[4]
Personality and traits
Tiel loathed Jabba[1] and hated her job.[5] She desperately[1] sought out a means of escape[5] and rejoiced that Jabba never returned from the Great Pit of Carkoon.[4] The female Ishi Tib had green skin, orange eyes,[1] and was considered to be rather ugly.[9]
Behind the scenes
A photo of Tiel and others in Jabba's palace was used the roleplaying game book Tatooine Manhunt to represent a group of bounty hunters.[10]
