Thon was an Imperial officer who served in Rampart Station, a supply base for ships en route to the planet Geonosis. Berch Teller and his company made a fake video to Governor Tarkin with his stolen identity, hoping to draw forces away from Sentinel Base so Teller's insurgents could ambush the base.[2]
