Thissermounts were a type of stump-legged creatures that lived on the[1] Inner Rim[2] desert planet Jakku. They possessed brittle manes of hair and were used as riding beasts by the anchorites that dwelt on the world. The orphan child Gallius Rax considered thissermounts' manes to be similar in appearance to the dried hair of the various corpses he had seen amongst the deserts of Jakku.[1]

Thissermounts were first mentioned in the 2016 novel Aftermath: Life Debt, which was written by Chuck Wendig.[1]
