The Third General Survey was an exploration of spiral arms of the the galaxy launched on 145 BBY by the Galactic Republic. It was responsible for finding the planet Brath Qella. However, due to the rise of the Galactic Empire, it was never completed and Brath Qella went unexplored.
The mission had reported Brath Qella as a temperate world, with a population of seven million, and a primary ecosystem rated provisionally at complexity two. However when the planet was revisited in 16 ABY by the New Republic, a third of the planet's landmass was glaciated and its people were gone.[1]
