The thermal detonator trooper, also known as grenade trooper, was one of the classes of ground units which was deployed during the Galactic Civil War by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Strategically positioned behind front-lines, mortar troopers played a key role in combat by providing medium-ranged supporting fire for other Rebellion ground troops, launching mortars and thermal detonators. They served with Princess Leia Organa duringt the Krantian Civil War.[1] As part of the New Republic, they later fought alongside Han Solo and Rand Talor during Liberation of Coruscant.[2]
