Thera was a Force-sensitive Twi'lek female who was a witch a part of a coven on the planet Brendok, serving as an ensign for Mother Aniseya, during the High Republic Era.[2]

Thera was created for the 2024 Disney+ live-action series Star Wars: The Acolyte.[2] The character was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[3]
