Following an incident in which two children Kel and Eila knocked out a First Order stormtrooper during the First Order's occupation of the Colossus, the Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono disguised as the First Order stormtrooper in order to find out if the trooper to reported the incident to the First Order and later Xiono also set his eyes on a First Order datarod that could contain valuable information for the Resistance.
Prelude
During the Cold War between the First Order and the Resistance[3] in 34 ABY,[4] the First Order occupied the Colossus refuelling station due to its location being ideal for a military supply line.[3]
During the occupation a First Order Stormtrooper, CS-515, was patrolling the station when he found two young siblings fishing. The trooper asked for their identification, but one of the children, and Kel to say that they had lost it. The trooper then told them that they were coming with him, but they knocked him out with the fish they had caught.[3] The two children, Kel and Eila, then went to their friend Kazuda Xiono, a mechanic who was secretly a Resistance spy, for help. Xiono and his fellow mechanics Neeku Vozo and Tamara Ryvora followed Kel and Eila where they found CS-515's unconscious body. Xiono was terrified that if the First Order found it they would be locked up for good. The mechanics brought the trooper to the lower levels where the chelidae resided. Xiono came up with a plan to disguise as the trooper and see if he reported the incident with Kel and Eila. Ryvora thought he was being reckless, but he decided to go through with it anyway.[3]
The mission
Xiono disguised as CS-515 was soon found by 515's commanding officer Sergeant CS-812. Xiono, CS-812 and another trooper patrolled the station where they eventually encountered a group of residents rioting. CS-812 told the rioters that this is an illegal gathering and ordered them to disperse immediately. Xiono used this chance to slip away unnoticed. He eventually made it to an Upsilon-class command shuttle. Xiono then checked the mission logs and found out that CS-515 never reported the incident with Kel and Eila. Soon after, Xiono was approached by the BB unit MB-13A. The droid accessed a terminal and acquired a data rod. Xiono recognized that that the rod could contain vital information for the Resistance, so, after a brief scuffle with the droid, he obtained it. The rest of the squad showed up and told Xiono that they were going to report to Commander Pyre.[3]
Xiono and the stormtroopers met Pyre at Doza's office, the personal office of Imanuel Doza, the captain of the station. Pyre ordered Doza to leave and the captain reluctantly complied. Pyre then told the stormtroopers that he was informed by Captain Phasma that a full garrison of troops was on the way. The commander then got to the troopers' personnel reports. The squad then turned to the disguised Xiono for his report. Xiono very informally reported that the squad busted a food uprising and that that was about it. Pyre agreed with CS-812 that the trooper's conditioning was erratic. He ordered the squad to bring "CS-515" to transport for a full mental wipe. Xiono refused, and ran to the turbolift as Pyre ordered his troops to fire on him. Xiono narrowly escaped and ran through the station as CS-812 and the others chased him down. Xiono eventually reached a dead end, but Neeku Vozo opened a trapdoor for him to escape. Xiono quickly put CS-515 back in his armor at the dead end, where the rest of his squad soon detained him.[3]
