Theal was a planet[3] situated in the Theal system, a part of the freestanding subsectors portion of the Mid Rim.[1] It was an inhospitable world that was explored by the Republic Survey Corps scout Barosa Warren. More than fifty years later,[3] by 2 ABY,[4] Theal was controlled by the Galactic Empire and was considered to be one of the most dangerous planets under the Empire's jurisdiction.[3]
Behind the scenes
Theal was mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Theal system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square J-15.[2]
