The Strange Case of Origami Yoda is a middle grade book released in March 2010, part of the Origami Yoda series. It tells the story of Dwight, a student at McQuarrie Middle School and a "total loser", who uses an origami finger puppet to offer quite sage advice. Origami Yoda predicts the date of a future pop quiz, knows who has a crush on whom, and helps some kids from being humiliated. Tommy, a classmate of Dwight's can't figure out how Origami Yoda is so wise, and yet Dwight is not. Tommy and the other classmates attempt to solve the mystery behind the supposedly Force-using finger puppet.[1]
Included in the book are instructions on how to create Origami Yoda from origami paper.[1]
This book and its sequels mention Wookieepedia various times along the series.[1]
A sequel for this book has been released, titled Darth Paper Strikes Back,[3] which was in turn followed by The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee. This book was followed by The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett.
