- "See the records of The Society for Imperial Re-enactment who billed themselves as 'The Galaxy's premier organization for those who appreciate the aesthetic of the Imperial military.'"
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
The Society for Imperial Re-enactment was a group that existed during the reign of the New Republic that billed itself as the premier organization in the galaxy for those who appreciated the aesthetic of the Imperial Military of the fallen Galactic Empire.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the historian Beaumont Kin cited the society in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire as an example of the growing number of New Republic citizens that collected Imperial relics after the Galactic Civil War and justified their obsession by using the language of historians while lacking any comprehension of what exactly they were collecting.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Society for Imperial Re-enactment was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
