"The Malevolence: Technical Weaknesses" was an article published in Military History Monthly, a military history magazine[1] in circulation during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[2] The article detailed the technical weaknesses of the Malevolence,[1] a Subjugator-class heavy cruiser that served in the Confederacy's navy[3] prior to its destruction[4] in 22 BBY.[5]
In 19 BBY,[6] during the Battle of Anaxes[2] and the Mission to Skako Minor,[7] "The Malevolence: Technical Weaknesses" was featured in Aurebesh on the cover of an issue of Military History Monthly, which was displayed as a poster inside of the Marauder, the personal starship of Clone Force 99—a Republic special forces squad of genetically defective clone troopers.[2]
Behind the scenes
"The Malevolence: Technical Weaknesses" was first depicted in "The Bad Batch,"[2] the premiere episode of the seventh season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which aired on February 21, 2020.[8] The article and its accompanying poster were created by artist Kilian Plunkett on February 9, 2018.[9]
