The Indexer was a member of a colony of boneless beings on Chalcedon. In 14 ABY, Princess Leia (disguised as the bounty hunter Lelila) and Rillao tried to get information from him about Firrerreo sold in the slave trade. He charged them for sorting through all the trade information he had, only to tell them that there were no public records of that Firrerreo had ever been sold as a slave. He suggested that private slave selling was rumored to take place in the Asylum Station, and asked them to confirm the rumor, as it would mean that Chalcedon had a rival in the slave trade.
