"The Employment Test" is a short story written by Michael Stern, originally published in Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jedi and later archived on Hyperspace. It was also included in The Movie Trilogy Sourcebook.
Plot summary
In order to hire Gamorrean Guards, Jabba must pass their test, trial by combat. He tricks them into blindfolding themselves, and the nine survivors pledge their loyalty to him.
