The Commander's motif was written by Jesse Harlin for the 2016 Knights of the Fallen Empire digital expansion of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic. The leitmotif is played throughout Knights of the Fallen Empire and the subsequent expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, representing the Commander of the Eternal Alliance. The motif features prominently in the track "A War of Heirs," which was released on September 28, 2016.
