"That Thaylian bog-slime. Do you know that I have been here 36 days, slaving to pay a debt in good faith?"
―Matton Dasol, to Revan on Eli Gand[3]

Thaylian bog-slime was a type of slime[3] that originated in[2] the Thaylia system of the Outer Rim Territories' Sprizen sector.[1] The Human spacer and mechanic Matton Dasol was familiar with it.[3]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

In 3956 BBY,[4] Jedi Padawan Revan visited[3] the Mid Rim[5] planet Kashyyyk. There,[3] he[5] met both Dasol and the Human merchant Eli Gand, who had secretly murdered the mechanic's fellow crewmembers and held Dasol as an indentured servant in order to pay back the debt that the crew supposedly still owed Gand. Eventually, Revan uncovered evidence of Gand's deeds that he presented to the pair. After Dasol subsequently exposed Gand's crime, the mechanic called the trader a Thaylian bog-slime while complaining to Revan.[3]

Behind the scenes

Thaylian bog-slime was introduced in the 2003 BioWare video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In the game, the bog-slime can be mentioned in an optional conversation the player character, Revan, can have with Matton Dasol. This article assumes one hundred percent game completion and that the conversation took place as described.[3]
