During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a droid was planted on the starfighter of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi by the agent of Separatist Duchess Thax to sabotage the starfighter in an attempt to discredit the Republic in the negotiations on the planet Themis.^[2]
