The Thanos shipyards were a shipyard located in orbit of the planet Thanos, in the Togoria system of Mid Rim's Taldot sector.[1] By the time of 4 ABY, it was considered as one of the 67 major shipyards of the galaxy.[3]
During the Imperial Era, it was operated by the Imperial Military,[3] and kept under tight control,[1] to produce Imperial-class Star Destroyers.[3] The presence of the shipyards prevented the Togorians living on the neighboring world of Togoria to revolt against the Empire.[4] After the Battle of Endor, the planet Thanos and its shipyard fell under control of High Admiral Treuten Teradoc's Greater Maldrood. Thanos was eventually captured by the New Republic in 8 ABY.[1]
